Survey: Americans are concerned about their fitness and mental health

The ON survey results show that a majority of Americans (62%) are concerned about their overall health. Healthy habits like working out and playing sports with friends have taken a back seat lately, with 63% of respondents admitting they’re not as active as they would like.

More than half (51%) exercise less than before the pandemic: 45% say they have gained weight and 42% say they eat less healthily. And a majority of respondents (85%) say they face obstacles to being in better health, whether it is a lack of motivation (38%), a lack of financial resources (33%) or lack of access to appropriate training equipment and training (30%).

Concerns emerging in the survey also show the toll on mental health: two-thirds of those polled say they are more stressed and anxious than before the pandemic, and 45% say they feel “less like me.” Feelings of isolation may be a contributing factor, as six in 10 feel they have lost sense of community due to COVID-19 and two in five are concerned about maintaining relationships with their friends and family. family.
